What is Le Parkour?
Parkour, also known as Le Parkour is a discipline where practitioners - called traceurs, or traceuse, female - use their body to pass an obstacle quickly and fluently. In Parkour techniques you learn from how to climb a wall as far as jumping from a high place, but parkour is not a sport of jumping BUILDINGS. It consists of a man running from someone / something and no obstacle can stop you, but it is not only that, but to pass the obstacles, you must perform the movements as natural as possible using the obstacle as if it were part of your body. It is worth noting that you train Parkour for yourself, you can not move on to impress other people, even why, it could result in serious falls.

What are the physical risks?

Parkour becomes a discipline that requires great concentration and dedication, due to the fact that a person can suffer serious injuries if you run a technical wrongly. Certain moves require much concentration and dedication to run, you must train them before, and when the student develops confidence in your body and your mind starts to run it. We can think of a beginner who try to run something that is beyond its domain, in this case, depending on the risk of the movement, he may even die. It is important to have goals in Parkour key, and keep them above his appearance, after all, parkour is a fight against yourself, what makes a discipline Parkour so catchy.
Movements? Movements or techniques is called as the ways of going through an obstacle. These movements are highly variable, and it is recommended that the traceur trains the basic technique of motion and then run in a run. Repetition is very important to avoid injury, and traceur must realize what your limits are, of WHAT can train. Sometimes a technique helps the performance of another.

Run?
The Run is the "soul of parkour." In it you learn how to use all the techniques you've learned. The Run is two points, A and B, you run from point A to B, going through all the obstacles that lie ahead. In Run you learn to have greater vision of where their skills can be applied. Imagine a person who trains the techniques for years, but never made a Run, and at the moment, have to run away from something. She certainly at times will have to stop to think of WHAT to run over some obstacle, because it has not yet developed the ability to imagine movements. This is one of the reasons why it is important to a Run in Parkour, you train them in techniques and uses Run, so you can pass obstacles easily, quickly and naturally.

How did?

Parkour originated in the 80's in France. David Belle, used inspirations in his father, one of the combatants in the Vietnam War, which used some of the techniques of Parkour (at that time did not have this name) in the war. David Belle adptou these techniques and then baptized them as "Le Parkour" (The Journey). After that, he practiced the discipline, and with much dedication and time, was meeting people. He later appeared in various media reports, then went from unknown to Parkour a discipline practiced worldwide.

There are contests?

That's the cool part of parkour, there were no competitions, you only compete with yourself. Parkour is based on overcoming limits, after a long time training, you get things previously thought impossible. Parkour is also free, you learn to interact with the environment, and you become free. Two phrases that I find it important to complete this topic:
"It's as if his body was gone on autopilot, then you find out first who is able to control it."
"It is ridiculous to seek freedom and end up in a wheelchair."

What does it take to train?
Another nice thing about Parkour is its cost, it is not necessary to spend money on expensive accessories. What you need is a good pair of sneakers, jeans and a light shirt, and eager to learn. Later you can purchase a more sophisticated shoes to improve their performance, but the beginning is not recommended.
A common question among beginners is about using gloves or not. It is not forbidden, but is not recommended when you are with your hands "naked" you have better control of their movements. Is more worthwhile to spend the phase of pain, and wait their calloused hands.
Another detail is that Parkour is a totally independent discipline of teachers or instructors, the applicant should seek someone who has to train to get some tips, or find tips on the Internet.

Philosophy?
Yes, it is not about only compound movements. Behind every motion there is a philosophy for running them. Parkour is not meant to impress others, it was made for reasons that each should seek his traceur.
Parkour is not acrobatics, part of other activities like Circus and Acrobatic Gymnastics. Many practitioners of parkour because they can do, most always seek to make any distinction between a stunt and the elements of parkour itself. There is this distinction because in parkour often means choosing what is most effective rather than more is performative. Always assuming that the goal is to move as efficiently and quickly as possible.

How do I start?

First of all, you will need a fitness, taking into consideration that your body will be much required during the practice.
Another important detail: the stretching and warming up before training. After making them, you can practice the techniques that are in our section of tutorials.
For more details see the tutorial on getting started.
Remember, parkour requires dedication, and do not try to do what you're not sure you can. Security is more important than beauty.
What is Freerunning?
Freerunning unlike the Le Parkour, stunts used in the accomplishments of their movements, the techniques used to pass the obstacles is followed by Le Parkour acrobatics gymnastics and other sports.

What are the Risks?
Like any other sport there is a risk of the practitioner is injured, but it is rare to happen, for taking due care and with the accompaniment of a professional is possible to make any kind of movement.

How came?
Sebastien Foucan is one of the creators of the Free Run Free or style. The Free Running emerged some time later, derives from the Parkour and adds other elements to it such as somersaults, spins and twirls, in addition to Free Run to move fast you have to move with lightness and beauty, was the Olympic Gymnastics using the street as a gymnasium.

There are contests?
Yes, freerunning have competitions but not in urban areas but in the event "ART OF MOTION" They will be judged on five criteria: technical, performance, fluidity, creativity and style.
